Microsoft Surface: PR Video

I have a new contract with Microsoft. I’m am working as a department Video Producer for the Microsoft Surface.  This great new product can be best demonstrated by web video. These videos can be embeded in the main site, or into a blog. They can also be distributed via video sites like Youtube, or MSN Video.

My main focus is to produce internal facing videos to teach and evangelize the Microsoft Surface to the partner developers. These videos are for a private audience, they are both training tools and viral mechanisms. Every now and then, I get called on to shoot and produce something for the department PR team.

Bones Over Metal: Content Management

Bones Over Metal.com is a Gravity Mountain Biking video magazine.

There has been 23 video episodes published by the Bones Over Metal podcast over two years. Bones Over Metal.com is now moving more into the blog magazine scene by publishing, producing and managing content by various producers and authors. (That is the future, so it makes sense to go there and provide the service for the niche market.) Bones Over Metal now has over 6,000 monthly site visitors and it’s podcast has around 40,000 monthly downloads. This has all been accomplished with virtually no budget.

My Other Content Management Projects:

Virtual Descent.com - I produced this site and then was asked to teach the owners of the site how to produce and manage content and advertising for this site. The owners were not tech savy, so the site had to have a basic web user level in scope for the backend. Basically, the content management is mostly in the site design, leaving little option to the content producer.

Fluidride.com - I produced this site and continue to be their site editor insuring that the site always looks and operates properly.

Fluidride: Like A Pro DVD

Fluidride: Like A Pro - Produced by Mark BrentBrent Creative and Bones Over Metal produced the DVD Fluidride: like a pro for the guys at Fluidride and Virtual Descent. This is a high concept training video involving green screen and many practical locations.

Simon Lawton of Fluidride/Virtual Descent plans to follow the DVD up with many digital downloads that expand apon the knowledge instructed in the DVD. Check out the teaser for the DVD.
